Martin Garrix continues to explore new artistic paths; this time as the face for Armani clothing. The Dutch producer will model the fall line alongside model/actress Cara Delevingne.
“I am very thankful and very happy with how everything turned out…To me, Armani Exchange is elegant, but its [sic] also ahead of the curve,” stated Garrix (via Billboard) of the new partnership with Armani. “The clothing I was wearing for the campaign shoot, I would wear all of the time, because it’s comfy, super refreshing, unique, but still elegant and classic.”
Armani would go onto confirm the new Garrix partnership via its own social channels. Peruse those posts below.
This weekend, Garrix returns to his DJ life and is set to spin during Tomorrowland.
Diplo isn’t the only DJ to also model in 2017. Armani Exchange just announced the face of its Fall 2017 collection: DJ Mag fan-voted No. 1 DJ in the world, Martin Garrix.
“I am very thankful and very happy with how everything turned out,” Garrix says in an emailed statement. “To me, Armani Exchange is elegant, but its also ahead of the curve. The clothing I was wearing for the campaign shoot, I would wear all of the time, because it’s comfy, super refreshing, unique, but still elegant and classic.”
The “Scared to be Lonely” producer also announced Monday morning (July 17) he’ll join Justin Bieber on the upcoming North American leg of his Purpose Tour. Garrix has proven himself a curator as head of STMPD RCRDS. Now, he’s a man of style.
The tagline is “new energy, same spirit,” perhaps a move toward a more youthful demo grab. Check out the first-run announcement photos from Armani Exchange below, and the snappy black-and-white line launch video below.
