Considering the boiling scorn that’s regularly poured over hapless DJs opting to use all-in-one systems, we’re pretty sure that the latest bastardisation of the sainted turntable is about to tip you over the edge.
Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the Apple Watch DJ mixer.
Coming from a company called Algoriddim, who specialise in making mixing software for a variety of iOS platforms, the DJay2 for Apple Watch app allows you to control the tunes, sync (obviously…) and perform a rudimentary mix from your forearm.
In reference to the company’s extremely popular iPhone app, Algoriddim CEO Karim Morsy told The Verge: “iPhones are so powerful now that you can basically hook it up to a PA system at a club or a house party and just leave it alone. The processing is done on the phone, but the whole interaction is done purely from your wrist.”
Hey, at least you’ll know when it’s time to shut the fuck up and let the next DJ jump on the watches.
