We would like to send our sincerest condolences to the family and friends directly affected by this gruesome attack. We also want to reach out to all our communities and ask that we support the movement to create awareness on any and all platforms. This is a peaceful community in pursuit of building South Africa not stagnating it with these farm murders. Lets stand together in supporting this cause.
FarmGirl -PlaasMeisie said: “I grew up on a farm and it was the most amazing upbringing that any person could ask for. Farm life was there to grow our agriculture and serve the community. The word farm should be associated with “growing” not “killing”. We need to look further and see what impact it will have on all that are affected which means everybody. The whole world. We want to reach out to the world and ask for a support system to merely create awareness in this struggle that is very much a plague in South Africa right now. We supply the world with the most amazing produce. What happens when our farmers are all gone?” #FarmGirl #PlaasMeisie

According to to reports‚ 156 commercial farmers are killed per 100,000. According to the police’s annual crime statistics released on Tuesday‚ 34.1 South Africans are murdered per 100,000 of the population.
Commercial farmers are 4.5 times as likely to get murdered as the South African population as a whole.
This is according to a civil rights group‚ which released its latest statistics on attacks and murders on farms in Centurion on Wednesday.
There is a recorded 70 murders and 357 attacks on farms in 2016.
Deputy CEO Ernst Roets said the group was being “deliberately conservative” in its numbers.
“We only add cases that we can verify. When we say 70 we mean that we have a list of 70 people that have been murdered.”
